C-4:10-days Beijing - Lhasa - Chengdu - Shanghai

Day01 Arrival in Beijing (L)

Pick up and transfer to hotel, in the afternoon visit Summer Palace, which was built in 1153 in northwest of Peking. I t is an outstanding example of imperial gardens in classical Chinese style, housing tens of thousands of precious cultural relics. Overnight in 3 star hotel.

Day02 (B/D)

Visit Tian'an Men square, which is probably the biggest one of its kind in the world, and the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven, Tonight you will have  Peking Duck dinner. Overnight in 3 star hotel.

Day03 (B/D)

After breakfast, excursion  to the Badaling Great Wall. After lunch drive to Ming Tombs to visit  the Underground Palace of Dingling. In the evening you will visit Peking Opera. Overnight in 3 star hotel.

Day04 Flight Beijing - Lhasa (B)

In the early morning transfer to airport and fly to Tibet, upon arrival at Gonggar Airport, pick up and transfer to Lhasa(3650 m) with about 1 1/2 hours’ driving (100km), in the afternoon rest and acclimatize.  Overnight in 3 star hotel.

Day05 Lhasa (B/L)

In the morning visit Potala Potala, which was originally constructed in 637 by Songtsen Gampo, the first king of the united Tibet, and later expanded and served as the winter residence of the Dalai Lamas as well as the religious-political nexus of traditional Tibet. In the afternoon visit Jokhang temple, the center of the Tibetan Buddhism and the sacred land of Buddhist followers where innumerable pilgrims come for worship everyday. The temple, built in 647, is the earliest wood-and-masonry structure still existing in Tibet. Surrounding the Jokhang Temple is the bustling Barkhor Market place which is the religious and social focus of Lhasa. Overnight in 3 star hotel.

Day06 Lhasa (B/L)

In the morning visit Drepung monastery the sacred land of Gelukpa sect., which was created in 1416 and the second, third and fourth Dalai Lama once resided in. In the afternoon visit Sera monastery, which was created in 1419 and has always been an important Buddhist seminary. As rose are planted everywhere in the monastery, it is also called “the court of wild rose”. Today still 200 lamas live in there. Overnight in 3 star hotel.

Day07 Flight Lhasa - Chengdu (B/L)

In the morning transfer to airport and fly to Chengdu, pick up and then visit Pandas in the Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and a traditional Chengdu Tea House. Overnight in 3 star hotel.

Day08 Flight Chengdu - Shanghai (B)

In the morning transfer to airport and fly to Shanghai, pick up and transfer to hotel, and in the afternoon you will  go to the Yuyuan Garden, after that visit The Shanghai Bund, one of the most famous thoroughfares in China and here you will see a collection of buildings dating from the 1930's displaying their western influence and fulfilling the role of the commercial heart of Shanghai. Overnight in 3 star hotel.

Day09 Free day in Shanghai, Overnight in 3 star hotel. (B)

Transfer to airport and departure from Shanghai.
